The Role:

We are looking for a world-class Database Architect to build and maintain the core database infrastructure of Creo Networks — one of the most sensitive and mission-critical components of our ecosystem. This is a high-trust, high-responsibility role, as you will be one of only 3–5 people in the company with direct access to our core database. You will design the entire relational architecture in SQL and collaborate with our Data Team, who will provide structured and semi-structured data for population and analytics.

Security is not a checklist here — it’s a principle. You will implement cutting-edge security mechanisms, encryption, and access protocols, ensuring our users’ data is protected at every level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build the full relational database architecture of the Creo platform from the ground up.
• Collaborate with the Data Team to structure and ingest large-scale datasets.
• Implement modern security and encryption protocols to protect sensitive data.
• Maintain tight access control; this is a zero-tolerance, high-security role.
• Optimize schema and queries for performance, scalability, and modularity.
• Document all systems clearly for internal audits and future onboarding.
• Support developers and engineers in integrating backend systems with the database.
• Assist with long-term planning for scaling, replication, and data governance.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in database architecture and administration.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and relational design principles.
• Deep experience with modern security practices: data encryption, access control, and vulnerability prevention.
• Proven history of working in high-security environments — background checks will be mandatory.
• Experience working with large-scale applications (social networks, fintech, or media platforms preferred).
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and database cloud solutions (e.g., Cloud SQL, RDS, etc.) is a plus.
• Able to work independently and own mission-critical systems from day one.
