Job description

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in the United States As a Database Administrator you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our companys databases ensuring their security and integrity and optimizing their performance This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical skills and a passion for data management to join a dynamic and growing organization

Key Responsibilities

• Install configure and maintain database systems
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
• Develop backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability
• Create and maintain database documentation including data standards procedures and definitions
• Collaborate with development teams to design efficient database structures for new applications
• Ensure data security by implementing access controls monitoring user activity and performing regular audits
• Identify opportunities for database optimization and implement solutions to improve performance
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments in database technology and trends

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
• Strong knowledge of relational databases SQL Server preferred
• Experience with database design normalization principles indexing strategies and query optimization techniques
• Familiarity with database security best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
