Job summary

MechaForce in Los Angeles is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to maintain and optimize our databases for smooth operations. This contract role offers potential extension and visa sponsorship for qualified candidates.

You will design, implement, monitor, and troubleshoot DBMS across Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL, develop backup strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes. Fluency in English required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of DBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL.
• Experience with database design, data modeling and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with database security protocols and best practices.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification in Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server administration (preferred).
• Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database (preferred).

We offer a competitive salary of $1000 per month for this contract position.
