As a Database Administrator you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our companys databases ensuring they are secure efficient and reliable. This is an ideal role for someone with a strong interest in database management and a desire to learn and grow in the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation configuration and maintenance of databases
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues and perform necessary optimizations
• Implement security measures to safeguard data and ensure compliance with company policies
• Regularly backup and restore databases to prevent data loss
• Collaborate with other teams to identify database needs and implement solutions
• Keep up‑to‑date with industry trends and best practices in database management

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• Knowledge of database management systems such as SQL Server, MySQL or Oracle
• Familiarity with database design principles and data normalization techniques
• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues quickly
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred

• Certification in database management eg Oracle Certified Professional
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems
• Understanding of programming languages such as SQL or Python

Salary: $1200 per month negotiable based on experience.
