Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or related discipline.
  • Minimum five years of experience administering enterprise database environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server in production environments.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL in production environments.
  • Experience with backup/recovery, performance tuning, and security administration.
  • Experience supporting highly available mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, monitor, and support Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
  • Ensure database availability, reliability, integrity, confidentiality, and performance.
  • Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Design and maintain backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Monitor performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies.
  • Configure high-availability solutions including clustering, failover, and replication.

  • Develop maintenance plans, SOPs, and technical documentation.

# Database Administrator (Intermediate) – SQL Server/PostgreSQLApply**Job#: 3045428****Job Description:****Description**Database Administrator (Intermediate) to support mission-critical Department of Defense (DoD) information systems in Suffolk, Virginia.
