Job summary

The candidate will lead data modeling efforts, create standards, and provide training on data design. Requires 5 years of DBA experience and a Bachelor’s degree. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, university or technical school AND five (5) years of experience in database administration.
• Two (2) years with Pima County in a Database Administrator I or closely related position as determined by the department head at the time of recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Define backup and recovery strategies for each database and ensure availability.
• Monitor and optimize database performance and security; provide technical leadership.
• Design, create, and maintain database objects and standards; document them.
