Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in database administration.
• Documentation of education and work experience is required with the application.
• Two years with Pima County in a Database Administrator I or closely related position as determined by the department head.

Responsibilities

• Assist with backup and recovery strategy to ensure database availability.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, ensure data integrity and security.
• Provide technical database leadership when working with teams.
• Create and maintain data element standards and enable data dissemination.
• Perform application administration including installation, security, patches, and upgrades.
• Assist with DBMS installation and training users on databases.
