Job description

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with deep expertise in ADABAS systems to support database upgrades, maintenance, and performance optimization.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience implementing physical database structures, supporting Natural environments, and providing technical leadership for enterprise IT projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Upgrade Natural, Natural Security, and Natural for VSAM to version 9.2.3.
• Upgrade ADABAS, Trim, and EntireX as new versions become available.
• Support NaturalONE and Natural for Windows environments.
• Perform ADABAS database maintenance including backups, recoveries, and disaster recovery planning.
• Monitor space utilization and fragmentation; perform reorganizations as needed.
• Design and implement logical and physical database structures in ADABAS.
• Provide technical leadership and support for Office of Information Technology (OIT) projects.
• Offer daily core-hour support and rotational on-call availability.
• Support MFAAS on IBM Cloud and mainframe relocation efforts.
• Provide weekend support for z/OS upgrades.
