Job description

The client is seeking a contractual Adabas / Natural Software Developer for a long-term assignment, expected to work a 37.5-hour work week. This role may be performed onsite or remotely, with connectivity to a workstation located at an administrative facility in Dover, Delaware.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the analysis, design, implementation, and support of existing Motor Vehicle mainframe applications.
• Write new code and revise or adapt existing code as needed.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects.
• Maintain and support applications in alignment with technical and functional specifications.
• Perform system testing and debugging based on system test and user acceptance test results.
• Work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Communicate effectively with technical teams, management, and end users to understand and resolve system issues.
• Evaluate and recommend system upgrades, enhancements, development tools, and software improvements.
• Provide on-site or remote support as required, including occasional after-hours corrective actions.
• Participate in product design reviews to ensure quality and compliance with functional and technical requirements.
• Document all work for future reference, including technical documentation, end-user manuals, and status updates.
