Job summary

Tech Army, LLC is seeking a highly experienced Database Administrator with deep expertise in DB2 for z/OS for long-term contract work on enterprise mainframe environments. You will manage, optimize, support, and recover large-scale production databases across DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined database administration experience involving: DB2 for z/OS, Oracle 10g or later, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 / 2012.
• Experience with DB2 for z/OS administration and application integration.
• Proficiency in DB2 performance monitoring and tuning, upgrades, and catalog maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily database administration and operational support across DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, and GIS environments
• Plan, design, implement, and support enterprise database structures
• Monitor and tune database performance
• Support DB2 for z/OS upgrades, catalog maintenance, and point-in-time recovery
• Review SQL code and provide database optimization recommendations
• Develop and maintain DBA procedures and technical documentation
• Support infrastructure implementation and change-management activities
• Assist with disaster recovery planning and technical validation
• Train and mentor other technical staff

We’re seeking a highly experienced Database Administrator with deep expertise in DB2 for z/OS and enterprise mainframe environments to support mission-critical database infrastructure for our customer. This is an advanced-level DBA opportunity for someone who has extensive experience managing, optimizing, supporting, and recovering large-scale production database environments.

What You’ll Do
