Job summary

Helm Point Solutions, Inc. in the Ft. Meade area, MD, is seeking a seasoned Database Administrator to maintain the integrity, security, and availability of multiple databases in a government/military setting.

The role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and full-time employment. Responsibilities include disaster recovery, performance tuning, and applying security policies to ensure data protection and system reliability.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 8 years of demonstrated experience as a database administrator.
• Must have at least 8 years of Oracle Database Administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the integrity, security, and availability of multiple databases
• Perform disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data, and administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database
• Evaluate and recommend available database management system products; perform database and software lifecycle activities to ensure the highest level of system performance, availability, and compliance with business requirements; and organize and format data for efficient query and storage processes.

We’re seeking detail-oriented, security-cleared Database Administrator to support a program in the Ft. Meade area. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, security, and availability of multiple databases.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

• Maintain the integrity, security, and availability of multiple databases
• Performdisaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data, as well as administering, maintaining, developing, and implementing policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database
• Evaluate and recommend available database management system products; perform database and software lifecycle activities to ensure the highest level of system performance, availability, and compliance with business requirements; and organize and format data for efficient query and storage processes.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

• Must have at least 8 years of demonstrated experience as a database administrator.
• Must have at least 8 years of Oracle Database Administration experience.
