Job summary

HYVE Solutions is seeking a hands-on Data Warehouse Administrator to manage reliability, performance, and daily operations across Hadoop-based systems and modern OLAP platforms like ClickHouse and Vertica, plus cloud data services. Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills for large-scale data systems.
• Hands-on experience with data warehouse platforms (Hive, ClickHouse, Vertica) or similar.
• Experience with production data platforms and SLA/SLO awareness.
• Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate data warehouse platforms in production (Hive, Hadoop, ClickHouse, Vertica).
• Own stability, availability, and performance of data warehouse systems.
• Monitor health, queries, and resources; proactively identify issues.
• Troubleshoot incidents across ETL, Spark jobs, and infra.
• Root cause analysis for failures, data issues, bottlenecks.
• Design/enhance monitoring, alerting, observability.
• Automate repetitive tasks; improve efficiency.
• Manage deployments, config changes, patches, upgrades.
• Support ETL pipelines (Azkaban) and Spark processing.
• Support Azure Blob storage and Power BI Gateway connectivity.
• Collaborate with data engineering/analytics teams; vendor liaison.
• Participate in on-call rotation; incident response.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and runbooks.
