We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse QA Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database testing, ETL processes, and Big Data technologies, with a focus on Hadoop. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our data warehouse solutions through comprehensive testing, automation, and validation processes.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh, PA/Dallas, TX is $90k - $95k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases for Data Warehouse projects.
• Perform database testing to validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts for testing using one framework.
• Validate ETL processes, ensuring data is correctly extracted, transformed, and loaded.
• Work with Big Data/Hadoop ecosystems to test large-scale data processing.
• Identify, document, and track defects to ensure quality standards.
• Collaborate with data engineers, ETL developers, and business analysts to understand requirements and deliver quality outputs.
• Conduct performance testing and capacity planning if required.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in Data Warehouse testing and QA.
• Strong expertise in SQL for data validation and querying.
• Good knowledge and experience with ETL processes and tools.
• Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies, particularly Hadoop.
• Automation experience using at least one testing framework (e.g., Selenium, PyTest, JUnit, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
