Job summary

Wisconsin Department of Children & Families (DCF) seeks a Data Warehouse Developer to design, develop, and maintain relational databases for data storage and data mining. This role is mostly remote but may require onsite work with sufficient notice and the candidate must provide their own equipment.

Key tasks include migrating mappings from Informatica PowerCenter to IDMC, ETL design and development, data warehouse initiatives, and performance tuning while ensuring data security.

Qualifications

• Experience migrating assets from Informatica PowerCenter to IDMC, including testing and validation.

Responsibilities

• Migrate mappings, mapplets, sessions, and workflows from PowerCenter to IDMC.
• Assist in ETL design, development, testing, maintenance and metadata management.
• Develop ETL mappings for loading data into the warehouse and ensure data reliability.
• Improve data warehouse performance and ensure data security.
• Collaborate with IT teams and business users to implement solutions.
• Design and test data warehouse components including metadata and repository creation.
• Establish processes for entering data into warehouse systems.

Description:

Our client seeks a Data Warehouse Developer to design, develop, and maintain relational databases for data storage and data mining.

Tasks

• Responsible for migrating mappings, mapplets, sessions, and workflows from Informatica PowerCenter to IDMC.
• Assist in ETL design, development, testing, maintenance, metadata, and implementation of data warehouse initiatives. Understand user requirements and implement solutions that ensure requirements can be achieved through high quality deliverables.
• Develop ETL mapping specifications for loading information into the data warehouse and for ensuring reliability of information loaded.
• Seek continuous improvement in performance & tuning of data warehouse and ensure security of data.
• Works with other IT technical teams and Business users to understand requirements and recommend & implement solutions.
• Perform data warehouse design and testing, including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation.
• Develop processes and procedures for entering information into data warehousing systems and for ensuring reliability of information entered.
