Job summary

State of Indiana, via INDOT, is seeking an experienced data warehouse professional to review and enhance our enterprise data warehouse and related data marts in Indianapolis. You will troubleshoot, optimize, and expand data warehouse components, working with ODI, OBIEE, ThoughtSpot and Tableau.

The role emphasizes data analysis, governance, and mentoring others, with a possibility of supervisory responsibilities depending on agency needs.

Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of Oracle data warehouse design and ODI.
Advanced knowledge of SQL, DDL/DML and data dictionaries.
Advanced knowledge of OBIEE, ThoughtSpot and Tableau.
Advanced knowledge of hardware/software capabilities and Windows OS.
Ability to perform logic analysis and read complex technical manuals.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to guide and coordinate the work of others.
A degree is not required; 7+ years of relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Review data loaded into the data warehouse for accuracy.
Develop, maintain, and support enterprise data warehouse and data marts.
Troubleshoot and tune data warehouse applications.
Research new data warehouse applications and assess viability.
Establish procedures and standards for data system operation.
Evaluate existing data warehouse subject areas and integrate them into an enterprise model.
Develop new or enhanced components of the data warehouse.
Collaborate with management to plan, organize and control activities.
Prepare project feasibility studies.
Provide guidance and training for lower-level staff.
