Job summary

GDIT’s Enterprise Performance Management - BI group is hiring an Oracle Database Developer (PL/SQL) to design and maintain Oracle Data Warehouses and BI platforms. You will provide leadership for IT best practices and work with business users on requirements and projects.

The role requires 4+ years of Oracle PL/SQL experience, strong RDBMS knowledge, and a collaborative approach to BI/DW initiatives in a hybrid Falls Church, VA environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related degrees; or 8+ years experience in lieu of a degree.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience using Oracle PL/SQL.
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS design; familiarity with Data Warehouse and BI concepts.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and code PL/SQL procedures.
• Actively participate in the development and learning of Data Warehouse and BI applications.
• Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and execution of projects.
• Communicate commitments, issues, completion dates and status with stakeholders and management.
• Play a key role in data modeling and database design.
• Maintain availability during core business hours with flexible operational requirements.
• Design and build applications following industry standards and best practices.
