Job summary

City of New York is seeking a Data Visualization Lead in the Bureau of Data Technology & Strategy. The role focuses on turning data into actionable insights, mentoring analysts, and delivering scalable dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, Datawrapper, R, Python, and SAS.

You will design robust data pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and dbt, and ensure data integrity across platforms while partnering with IT and data providers.

Qualifications

Proven experience leading data visualization teams and delivering dashboards.
Expertise with Tableau, Power BI, Datawrapper, R, Python and SAS.
Strong data architecture, dashboard design, and user-centered principles.
Hands-on data engineering with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and dbt.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor analysts to convert raw data into actionable insights.
Oversee end-to-end data solution development with focus on quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
Develop scalable data pipelines and integrate into cloud infrastructure.
