Job summary

Consumers Energy is seeking a Data Visualization Intern to support Learning & Development by turning data into clear dashboards and actionable insights. You’ll manage data from multiple sources, collaborate with IT and business partners, and help improve reporting processes.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Data Analytics, Finance, or Business with a 3.0+ GPA, and can adapt to shifting priorities in a hybrid, Michigan-based environment.

Qualifications

• Data visualization and reporting skills using dashboards or visuals.
• Ability to collect, verify, and organize data from multiple sources.
• Strong communication and collaboration with partners across teams.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, organize, and validate L&D data from available systems and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, visual reports, and automated reporting solutions.
• Partner with L&D, data, and IT contacts to obtain access and resolve data issues.
• Track project measures and provide routine progress updates.
• Translate customer needs into practical data solutions and explain constraints.
• Incorporate feedback and adjust deliverables as needs evolve.
• Identify reporting or workflow inefficiencies and help test and implement improvements.
• Present findings clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
