Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in data, business, technology, or engineering fields required.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant business experience, working with, or within, a data-minded role or a utility company required.
  • Experience with Data Management concepts (governance, enablement, quality) and tools (Snowflake, Informatica, Power BI, SQL) required.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to deliver complex content concisely and effectively

Responsibilities

  • Assess and “pitch” the NE Electric Data Trust Program
  • Build the NE Electric Data Trust Program
  • Establish practical governance standards, operating routines, and engagement models aligned to enterprise direction.
  • Partner with business leaders to define ownership, stewardship, and accountability for priority data domains.
  • Build strong relationships across business, data, technology, Chief Data Office, and New York Electric teams to drive adoption and consistency.
  • Create a governance approach that is easy for stakeholders to use and focused on business outcomes, not bureaucracy.
  • Improve data quality, timeliness, and usefulness for operations, analytics, and decision-making.
  • Promote consistent data definitions, metadata, lineage, and documentation.
  • Reduce ambiguity and improve transparency around data sources and quality.
  • Advocate for business user needs and ensure governance enables data consumption.
  • Drive IT changes to fix data at the source and implement data quality controls.
  • Ensure data, analytics, digital, and AI initiatives are built on trusted data from the start.
  • Assess data risks, dependencies, and readiness for new capabilities.
  • Help teams move faster by creating repeatable, scalable practices for managing critical data.
  • Communicate the business value delivered through improved data quality, trust, and stewardship.
