Ground Penetrating Radar Systems is seeking a Data Technician to convert raw scan data into usable point clouds for modeling and client projects. You will support both field teams and clients through post-processing stages, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

The role emphasizes collaboration with project managers, a focus on precision, and ongoing learning about laser scanning workflows and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or higher.
• Ability to read blueprints and architectural drawings.
• Strong computer literacy and comfort with various software/tools.
• Systematic approach to tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Attention to detail with precise work outputs.
• Problem solving and willingness to learn new concepts.
• Solid technical skills and understanding of complex systems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Use point cloud software to register raw scan data.
• QA/QC point cloud registrations for accuracy.
• Align point clouds to coordinates or client models.
• Work in a team and individually on projects.
• Engage with project managers and clients through post processing.
• Ensure on-time completion, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Communicate project status internally and externally.
• Update ERP systems with project information and status.
• Research industry trends to stay educated.
