As a Data Technician I you will provide support services and enrichment activities to Alaska Native and American Indian students. The Data Technician I supports both Head Start and Early Head Start families.
JOB DUTIES:
- Collect, review, and enter data on a daily basis, using combination of software (MS Suite, Child Plus and TSG, ProCare, ADP, ASQ, ProSolutions, CNPWeb, GMS)
- Prepare data for weekly, monthly, periodic, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Attend staff meetings, in-service trainings, virtual, in person and other required meetings.
- Confidence to facilitate or share data story and help create a learning plan related to data.
- May serve as back-up for accounts receivable/payables for program as requested.
- Maintain a professional work relationships and interactions with all level of staff.
- Scan, file, prepare, and communicate application status.
- Perform other duties as assigned to benefit the entire program.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
- Advanced knowledge and use of personal computer (desk/laptop) and ability to use a variety of computer software to track data and reporting opportunities.
- Knowledge of customer service concepts and practices.
- Understanding and sensitivity to diverse cultures and lifestyles, as well as cross-cultural or mix of generation communication styles.
- Skill in managing multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative and respectfulworking relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and program families or partnering agency liaisons.
- Ability to report to work in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience)
- High School Diploma or equivalent AND Associate Degree or proof of attending college or technical school to obtain a degree.
- One (1) year clerical experience involving data entry and/or performing diverse administrative duties.
- A combination of experience, education, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may substitute for degree requirements.
