Job summary

TEC Industrial in Greenville, SC seeks a Data Systems Specialist to support setup, calibration, and operation of data acquisition systems. You will use Access, Excel, and graphics software to capture data from industrial testing, while maintaining calibration schedules and ISO-compliant documentation.

The role requires strong instrumentation knowledge, Windows OS proficiency, and the ability to coordinate with combustion and facilities engineers, technicians, and assemblers in a fast-paced

Qualifications

The Data Systems Specialist will perform a wide variety of duties involving facilitating the process of setup, calibration, and operation of data acquisition systems. The systems used for this process include Access, Excel, and graphics software to capture data resulting from testing in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of instrumentation to measure temperature, pressure, flow, static and dynamic strain, vibration, and dynamics etc, digital signal processing and computerized data acquisition systems.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (XP, Win10, and Server 2008 R2/2013).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and computer networking.
• Ability to comply with ISO standards in following procedures and maintaining.
• documentation for items such as equipment calibrations and test checklists.
• Communication with multiple levels of teams, combustion engineers, facilities engineers, instrumentation techs, assemblers etc.

Requirements

• Arrive at work on time, as scheduled, consistently, reliably, & complete each shift.

Additional Functions

• 2-yr technical degree or equivalent experience required, however a 4 year degree in IT related field is preferred.
• Ability to understand and learn internal systems used for data collection.
• A strong background in Microsoft Operating systems and Microsoft office
• Technically competent to adapt to process’ and systems in a specialized industrial environment.

Physical Profile Requirements

This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
