Job summary

T E C Industrial invites a Data Systems Specialist to join our Greenville, SC area team. You will set up, calibrate, and operate data acquisition systems using Access, Excel, and graphics software to capture data from intensive testing in an industrial setting.

The role requires hands-on calibration work, adherence to ISO procedures, and clear communication with combustion and instrumentation teams. A technical IT or engineering background is required.

Qualifications

  • Technical degree in IT or related field required.
  • Experience with data acquisition systems and calibration.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Excel.
  • Ability to follow procedures and ISO standards.
  • Effective communication across diverse teams.
  • Capable of multitasking in an industrial setting.
  • Calibrate equipment and manage calibration schedules.
  • Asset tracking and SCR handling.

Data Systems Specialist

The Data Systems Specialist will perform a wide variety of duties involving facilitating the process of setup, calibration, and operation of data acquisition systems. The systems used for this process include Access, Excel, and graphics software to capture data resulting from testing in an industrial setting.

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of instrumentation to measure temperature, pressure, flow, static and dynamic strain, vibration, and dynamics etc, digital signal processing and computerized data acquisition systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (XP, Win10, and Server 2008 R2/2013).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and computer networking.
  • Ability to comply with ISO standards in following procedures and maintaining documentation for items such as equipment calibrations and test checklists.
  • Communication with multiple levels of teams, combustion engineers, facilities engineers, instrumentation techs, assemblers etc.

Requirements:
  • Arrive at work on time, as scheduled, consistently, reliably, & complete each shift.

  • Understand and follow Instructions from the direct supervisor.
Additional Functions
  • Minimum 2-yr technical degree or 4 year degree in IT related field
  • Ability to understand and learn internal systems used for data collection.
  • A strong background in Microsoft Operating systems and Microsoft office
  • Technically competent to adapt to process’ and systems in a specialized industrial environment.
