Job summary

Concurrent Technologies Corporation is seeking a Data Systems Engineer for a remote U.S.-based role (preferred DC Metro). You will design and implement data integrations, metadata pipelines, and governance solutions across enterprise systems.

The position requires 5–8 years in data systems, a relevant Bachelor’s degree, experience with SQL, data modeling, APIs, and Azure, and the ability to obtain a DoD CAC and secret clearance. We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in systems engineering, data integration, data management, IT systems support, or data platform administration.
• Ability to translate requirements into technical solutions with minimal oversight.
• Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, data modeling, and database relationships.
• Experience designing, developing, implementing, or maintaining data pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (Azure preferred).
• Exposure to APIs and structured data formats (JSON/XML).
• Ability to obtain DoD CAC and US Government Secret clearance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain data integrations across enterprise systems, platforms, and repositories.
• Develop and maintain metadata pipelines, automated workflows, and API-based data exchanges.
• Integrate source system metadata with enterprise data catalogs and governance platforms.
• Design and maintain data models to include schemas, relationships, and metadata supporting governance and lineage.
• Map ERDs and data flows across business tools.
• Collaborate with data stewards, analysts, system owners, developers, and governance stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Independently own technical workstreams from problem definition through implementation, testing, and documentation.
