Position Overview

The International School of San Francisco is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Data Systems Administrator & Support Specialist. The role focuses on strengthening integrations, data reliability, and reporting across the school. Primary responsibilities include maintaining the core functionality of the Blackbaud Student Information System (SIS), ensuring data security and integrity, configuring the system for all user groups, and leading integration projects with other systems.

The position also manages additional account and database functions across the school, including library databases, Toddle LMS, and various student/faculty/staff software tools. Reporting to the Director of Education and Information Technology, the Data Systems Administrator proactively identifies innovative technological solutions, collaborates with team members, and promotes an efficient, cost‑effective environment.

Focus and Responsibilities
  • Manage and support users in the configuration of Blackbaud Student Information and Financial products, including integration with Ravenna Admit, Toddle, and Pick‑A‑Time.
  • Support the school’s SIS, library databases, and Toddle LMS architecture and academic data workflows.
  • Maintain documentation of procedures and best practices for the Blackbaud SIS and other core tools.
  • Ensure integrations between admissions, finance, and instructional systems remain operational.
  • Design and maintain institutional reporting structures and datasets.
  • Conduct data integrity and access audits to guarantee system reliability.
  • Improve operational workflows across departments through automation and integration.
  • Support responsible data governance and security practices across school systems.
  • Provide support for networked copier/printer connectivity.
  • Provide support for MacOS, Windows, and ChromeOS client software, and install, configure, and maintain related hardware and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot Google Workspace settings, accounts, and devices.
  • Support and configure Apple devices with the JAMF Mobile Device Management System.
  • Respond to help‑desk requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Troubleshoot and document IT issues.
  • Provide backup AV support for projects, school functions, and peripherals.
  • Stay current on software developments for schools and workplaces, and propose innovative, cost‑effective solutions.
  • Other projects/tasks as assigned.
Education / Qualifications
  • Experience with Blackbaud SIS configuration and management (Advanced Lists, Reporting, Insight Designer, Dashboards, Roles, Permissions, and auditing).
  • Knowledge of system integrations, APIs, or data imports/exports.
  • Experience with device management, hardware, and software setup, repair, and troubleshooting in an Apple environment.
  • Basic understanding of Mac OS, Windows OS, Chrome OS, and familiarity with Google Drive/Docs.
  • Basic understanding of AI tools and an interest in exploring potential use cases.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, customer service, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Self‑motivated and able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills; keen attention to detail.
  • Capable of interacting with individuals of varying technological expertise in a calm, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a diverse, multilingual educational environment.
  • Growth‑oriented, curious, innovative, and practical.
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and crawling under desks.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

This is a full‑time, in‑person, year‑round position reporting to the Director of Education and Information Technology. Salary Range: $90,000 – $125,000 depending on experience and education.
