Job summary

Seacoast Church is seeking a Data Support Specialist to back our Mount Pleasant Campus. You will support the Ministry Platform and other systems, triage and manage data tickets, and help optimize church data workflows using AI tools. Strong SQL skills and experience with ChMS are required.

Availability for weekends and on-call events is needed. Engage staff and attendees with a friendly, service-driven approach while maintaining data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Supports day-to-day operations of the church management system (Ministry Platform) and other 3rd party systems.

• Project manage the ticketing system and ensure follow-up on tickets.
• Assist Data Team projects to optimize church data systems.
• Maintain Data Team documentation and knowledgebase articles.
• Leverage AI tools to draft and maintain knowledgebase articles and streamline data tasks while verifying AI output.
• Assist with writing, reviewing, and troubleshooting SQL queries and scripts.

Location: Central Support (Mount Pleasant Campus)

Hours: Full time, 40 hours/weekly

Reports to: Director of Data Management

The Mission: Seacoast Church is on mission to help others Find God, Grow their Faith, Discover their Purpose, and Make a Difference. The Data Support Specialist serves our staff in maximizing the possibilities of the church's data management systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Supports the day-to-day operations of Seacoast Church management system (Ministry Platform) and other 3rd party systems to equip the Seacoast staff with better service to the congregation and ministries.
• Create a customer-focused experience in every interaction with staff and attendees, both verbal and in writing, taking the extra step to be welcoming and go above and beyond in the response.
• Daily triage of support tickets coming to the Data Team as the primary support ticket agent, coaching and providing direction to staff for resolving current and future requests, and working to resolve tickets independently.
• Project manage the ticketing system, reassigning advanced tickets to appropriate team members, and ensuring proper follow up of all tickets.
• Assists with the Data Team's projects to better utilize the church's data systems.
• Maintain the Data Team's documentation and knowledgebase support articles.
• Thoughtfully leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to work more efficiently drafting and maintaining knowledgebase articles, summarizing and prioritizing tickets, and streamlining routine data tasks while applying sound judgment about when AI output needs to be verified before it is trusted or applied to church data.
• Use AI-assisted tools to help write, review, and troubleshoot SQL queries and scripts, validating results for accuracy before making changes.
• Help the Data Team identify, test, and improve practical AI-assisted workflows that speed up response times and enhance the staff and attendee experience.
• Support some administrative functions with the weekly Data Team Call, on-call schedule, and scheduling meetings.
• Available weekends and after hours for pre-scheduled on-call Data Team support of church events, as well as some large all-call church events periodically throughout the year.
• Participate in the ChMS user community to learn strategies and ideas from other churches to improve the user experience and effectiveness of ChMS.
• General administrative duties as needed.

Job Essentials

• Periodic travel to campuses is required.
• Knowledge of how to keep data consistent and accurate.
