Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking a Senior Reference Data Specialist to oversee reference and security master data across investment platforms, ensuring data quality and scalable integrations. You will serve as the NeoXam DataHub SME and partner with business and technology teams on governance initiatives.

You'll drive automation and AI-enabled improvements to reference data operations, lead data transformation efforts, and collaborate with stakeholders to modernize controls and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of investment industry experience focused on reference, research, or security master data.
• Deep understanding of portfolio and security master data structures and lifecycle events.
• Hands-on experience with NeoXam DataHub.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with experience analyzing large datasets.
• Experience supporting or leading security master migrations and conversions.
• Familiarity with BlackRock Aladdin and market data providers such as Bloomberg, LSEG, and ICE.
• Interest in applying AI and automation to data management and operational processes.
• Strong analytical, project management, communication, and data quality management skills.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable participating in an on-call support rotation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for NeoXam DataHub and reference data workflows.
• Validate portfolio, security master, and reference data while resolving production issues and supporting downstream integrations.
• Analyze and improve data quality, controls, and operational processes using Python, SQL, Excel, and vendor tools.
• Lead and support security master and reference data transformation, migration, and governance initiatives.
• Develop business requirements for new datasets and partner with engineering teams on implementation and testing.
• Drive automation, workflow optimization, and AI-enabled enhancements across data management processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to modernize data quality controls, monitoring, and exception management.
