Job summary

United Bank is seeking a Data Steward to implement data quality standards and ensure accuracy of critical data elements (CDEs) such as FHLB, FRB, Collateral, and NAICS coding across commercial loans.

The role requires strong regulatory knowledge, experience with data management, and excellent communication. You will identify data quality issues, run root cause analyses, and coordinate with frontline and back-office staff to promote correct coding practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in auditing, compliance, or banking examination.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred; strong regulatory knowledge.
• Experience with data management tools, process mapping, or lineage toolsets desired.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy of assigned Critical Data Elements (CDEs).
• Develop and maintain expertise of CDE definitions and usage for correct determinations.
• Identify quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with data owners for improvements.
• Assist in developing data quality rules and reports to identify data quality issues.
