About the role
The Data Steward is responsible for data quality, creation, maintenance, and obsoletion of objects within SAP. They will govern the data to ensure continuity through all objects and processes for daily business. They will engage with different stakeholders to coordinate activities of various data projects from start to end. They will be self-managed to deliver in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment, following global standards set out by the ERP and DNA teams.
Your responsibilities
- Knowledge transfer - provide business process understanding and knowledge related to the relevant functional area, ensuring the business takes on board key requirements and risks.
- Data – ensure you know what is in the remit of responsibilities of the Data Stewardship role within SAP, and segregation of duty boundaries.
- Maintaining BOMs in SAP while confirming compliance with TDS quality system (Day to Day activity).
- Data Quality – ensure that constant standards are held within SAP, with close monitoring/reporting on the system to ensure data integrity.
- Coordinating – ensure that all stakeholders are aware of any new projects in development and that assistance will be needed for their completion.
- Cross Functional Collaboration – understand and communicate the end-to-end process for NPD/EPD within factory operations including planning, ensuring these guidelines are adhered to, so that no object is left behind.
- Troubleshooting – understand SAP overall objects from other stakeholders, so that issues can be fixed.
- ERP and Global teams – ensure that you are up to date with any enhancements coming through the system. Adapt to change, ensuring that best practices and policies are adhered to.
- SOPs – update existing local work instructions to map to new local SOPs.
- Adapting – the Data Steward role is constantly evolving, so be open to change management.
- Drawing on guidance from the CoE team, identify and size the benefits the site could achieve, and support the site team to plan for how they will be delivered and tracked.
- Establishing data analytics capabilities from a factory standpoint to evaluate material creation and enrichment progress.
The experience we're looking for
- Business analysis experience is ideal but not critical – an analytical approach and openness to change are as important.
- Demonstrate good communication and influencing skills both verbally and in writing.
- Possess general awareness of the processes operated across the site, and specific detailed knowledge of their functional area.
- Experience in SAP and MDG.
- This role is not currently sponsoring visas or considering international movement at this time.

US salary ranges
USD $67,000.00 - $101,000.00
US pay transparency
The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience, training, education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
