Job description

The Data Steward (DS) is responsible for maintaining the integrity and reliability of enterprise data products. This role ensures that data is accurate, complete, compliant with regulatory standards, and thoroughly documented. By implementing robust governance practices and quality controls, the DS provides stakeholders with trusted, well‑curated data that supports confident, data‑driven decisions across the organization.

The Data Steward (DS) safeguards the trustworthiness of the data product by ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance, and documentation. As the custodian of data integrity, the DS enables confident, data‑informed decision‑making across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Data Quality: Define and monitor quality rules and KPIs (e.g., accuracy, completeness, timeliness).
  • Investigate and resolve data issues in collaboration with source system owners.
Governance & Compliance
  • Enforce metadata standards, lineage tracking, and access controls.
  • Ensure adherence to privacy, security, and regulatory requirements (e.g., CCPA, SOX).
Curate & Document Data
  • Maintain business glossaries, data dictionaries, and lineage documentation.
  • Provide accessible, user‑friendly resources for data consumers.
Collaborate with Business Data Product Owner D PO
  • Align governance efforts with business priorities.
  • Advise on data sourcing, feasibility, and technical constraints.
Drive Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor data quality trends and lead root cause analysis.
  • Champion initiatives to enhance data reliability and usability.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years in data governance, quality, or management.
  • Experienced in metadata management, lineage, and privacy practices.
  • Knowledge of data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency).
  • Proficiency with governance tools (e.g., Purview, Collibra, Alation, Informatica).
  • Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and collaboration skills.

  • Hands‑on experience with data governance principles, tools, and related technologies.
  • Deep domain and technical expertise; strong technical proficiency combined with deep domain knowledge in data governance and quality.

Salary and Working Arrangement

U.S. Full‑time – Remote. Salary range is expected to be between $90,160.00 USD – $167,440.00 USD.

Benefits include health, dental, mental health, vision, short‑ and long‑term disability, life and AD&D insurance coverage, adoption/surrogacy and wellness benefits, and employee/family assistance plans. Eligible employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. Our generous paid time off program in the U.S. includes up to 11 paid holidays, 3 personal days, 150 hours of vacation, and 40 hours of sick time (or more where required by law) each year, and we offer the full range of statutory leaves of absence.
