Job summary

Kahana Feld seeks an Operations Junior Data & Staffing Analyst to collect, organize, and analyze data across multiple systems, driving strategic initiatives and operational efficiency. You will work with Practice Group Management, Legal, People Ops, and Finance to support workload management and staffing across practice groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in data/ops, legal ops, staffing coordination, finance, or professional services.
• Prior experience in a law firm or professional services setting is preferred.
• Experience and working knowledge of SQL is required.
• Advanced Excel (including pivot tables, formulas, macros, and data modeling).
• Advanced SharePoint functionality, including list setup, permissions, or automation.
• Power BI for dashboard creation and data visualization.
• Experience with APIs and data integration across systems.
• Experience with Python for data applications.
• PowerShell scripting for workflow automation and data transfer.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and system integrity.

Responsibilities

• Pull, organize, and analyze data from the firm's finances, timekeeping, and billing systems to identify trends and improve operations.
• Run regular weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports to support business goals across operations and client relations.
• Provide leadership with insights and visual analyses from structured and unstructured data sources.
• Maintain and improve data hygiene across multiple databases.
• Perform data cleanup and maintenance projects to enhance reporting reliability.
• Gather, validate, and integrate data from multiple systems into consolidated reports and dashboards.
• Build and manage SharePoint lists with advanced functionality for leadership access and workflow automation.
• Develop forms that funnel data into spreadsheets or dashboards for real-time tracking.
• Use APIs, PowerShell, and automation tools to connect systems and streamline processes.
• Assist in transition and QA of data between management systems and new software platforms.
• Design and maintain dashboards in Power BI to monitor KPIs and trends.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
