Job summary

El Dorado County Office of Education in Placerville, CA seeks a Data Specialist (In-Person) to handle data collection, input, and reporting across programs. You will produce records and analytic outputs to support district and county initiatives.

The role requires two years of administrative or technical experience, with emphasis on project management and database management; SEIS/CALPADS experience is desirable. This is a full-time, in-person position with 12-month coverage.

Qualifications

  • Two years of increasingly responsible administrative or technical support experience including project management, database management, state reporting, and technology support.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a combination of education and experience involving database management, reporting and computer operations.
  • SEIS and CALPADS experience desirable.

Responsibilities

  • This role will collect, evaluate, manipulate, and report data using computer systems to input data and produce a variety of records and reports.
  • Under general direction, perform a variety of complex duties involved in data collection and reporting for internal and external use.

Pay Range: $5,153.88 - $6,707.70 Monthly

Initial pay is on step one of the range. EDCOE pays $600/month toward medical; no cost dental, life insurance, EAP, long term disability; vision is $4.87/month; CalPERS retirement.

Length of Work Year: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 12 months

Employment Type: Full Time

Mandatory Testing: Multiple choice test link will be sent after application deadline and is due by 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Those who pass will attend practicum testing over Zoom at 1:300 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

Practicum Date: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2026

Qualifying Appraisal Interview (QAI) Date: Thursday, September 24, 2026

Selection Interview Date: Wednesday, September 30, 2026

Job Summary

This recruitment will be used to form an eligibility list. The eligibility list will be active for a period of six months and will be utilized to fill current and future vacancies in this classification.
