Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as data analytics or health informatics.
  • 2+ years of data analysis, reporting, or BI experience, preferably in healthcare or public health.
  • Experience with healthcare data (quality measures, UDS, or claims data) is preferred.
  • Proficient in BI and reporting tools; familiarity with EHRs is a plus.
  • Advanced Power BI skills for dashboards and visualization.
  • Strong SQL and Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with Tableau or ArcGIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, clean, validate, and maintain healthcare data from multiple sources.
  • Analyze quality, utilization, demographic, and operational data to identify trends and support improvements.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership, staff, partners, and grant initiatives.
  • Design and maintain dashboards and visual reports, primarily in Power BI.
  • Use SQL, Excel, and related tools to extract, transform, and manage data.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and resolve reporting issues with stakeholders.
  • Document reporting processes and support automation and data governance efforts.
  • Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide responsive data support for organizational initiatives and meetings.

Job description

Our client, PA Association of Community Health Centers (PACHC) is seeking a Data Specialist to support PACHC’s clinical, operational, and strategic goals by collecting, validating, analyzing, and reporting healthcare data. This role helps turn complex information into clear insights through dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that support decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, organize, clean, validate, and maintain healthcare data from community health centers and other sources.
  • Analyze quality, utilization, demographic, and operational data to identify trends and support performance improvement.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership, staff, partners, and grant-related initiatives.
  • Design and maintain dashboards and visual reports, primarily in Power BI.
  • Use SQL, Excel, and related tools to extract, transform, and manage data from multiple systems.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and work with stakeholders to resolve reporting issues.
  • Document reporting processes and support efforts to improve automation, standardization, and data governance.
  • Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide responsive support for data needs tied to organizational initiatives, meetings, and events.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Health Informatics, Public Health, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, or a related field, preferably in healthcare or public health.
  • Experience with healthcare data, such as quality measures, UDS, or claims data, strongly preferred.
  • Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools required.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records or healthcare data systems preferred.
  • Advanced Power BI skills for dashboards, reporting, and visualization.
  • Strong SQL and Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with Tableau, ArcGIS, or similar tools is a plus.
