Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a data analyst / platform specialist to analyze, develop and improve data platform solutions aligning with business needs. You will collaborate with operations to design metrics and document data usage while supporting ETL/ELT systems.

You will manage small projects, translate requirements into validated data solutions, and maintain documentation and training for users across the organization. A focus on healthcare data and Epic Cogito is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge.
• Certification(s) may be required or obtained within 6 months and maintained to vendor requirements.
• For Epic focused roles, Epic certification(s) in Cogito/reporting.
• For Workday focused roles, Workday certification(s) in WD reporting.
• Learning plan provided with offer includes missing certifications.

• Maintain Epic Cogito certification and stay current with industry trends.
• Complete projects that advance EHR, ERP and data skills.

Job description

Major Responsibilities:

Analyze,developand improve data platform solutions to meet business needs.Collaborate with operations teams to help design and document metrics that align withstrategicobjectivesand ensure effective use of data.

Manage small-scale projects and requests andassist onmedium to large projects usingstandard project management tools and methodologies.

Support the translation of business requirements into well-designed and validated datasolutions that meet organizationalgoalsincluding assisting in the analysis and validation ofdata from raw source to data solution.

Provideaccurateand complete documentation for all tasks, following industry standards.

Provide support for ETL/ELT/data solutions, including problem analysis, design,implementation, and testing.

Support training and educating users on tools and support upgrades/changes in all phasesas well asappropriate datasolution administration activities such as on call wherenecessary.

Build professional skills bymaintainingawareness of healthcare environment, platformtechnology (cloudand onprem),evidence basedleadership, and informatics industrytrends. In addition,to maintainingthe Epic Cogito certification.

Complete projects, requests and work that advance EHR, ERP and/or data skills

Minimum Job Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge.

Certification / Registration / License

• Depending upon the position’s focus, Certification(s) may be requiredor obtained within 6 months andmaintainedto vendor or department requirements.

Experience

No experience required with Degree. Equivalent experience in enterprise applications, data/BI tools, and/or database query/report writing required without a degree.
