Job summary

JTEC Consulting LLC is seeking a Data and Software Engineer (TS/SCI w/ Poly) to join an on-site, high‑tempo team in Chantilly, VA. You will design and operate end-to-end data architectures, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud-native infrastructure at scale for mission-critical DoD applications.

You will work with Python, Spark, Airflow, Trino, Iceberg, and PostGIS to enable low-latency analytics, governance, and secure data flows. A current poly clearance is strictly required for consideration.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• Current TS/SCI with agency-specific polygraph required for consideration.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• 5+ years of data/software engineering or distributed backend systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.
• Experience in federal/defense or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build production-grade data pipelines using Python, Spark, and Airflow.
• Deploy and optimize Lakehouse components like Iceberg and Trino.
• Design schemas and optimize queries in MySQL/PostgreSQL.
• Ingest and analyze geospatial data with PostGIS/H3.
• Implement IaC via Terraform or CloudFormation and containerize with Docker.
• Ensure data governance, lineage, and security compliance.
