Job summary

Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is seeking a Data/Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics capabilities across the organization. You will work in an Agile environment on end-to-end data solutions.

The role requires strong SQL, Python, PySpark, and experience with AWS cloud services, Databricks, and Tableau. You will collaborate with staff to deliver trusted data insights for supervision, regulation, and research.

Qualifications

6–15+ years of relevant experience in data or software engineering.
Bachelor's degree in STEM from an accredited college or university.
Strong SQL skills across PostgreSQL/MySQL for data querying and manipulation.
Experience with Tableau dashboards and reports aligned to business requirements.
Experience with AWS cloud deployments and data warehousing patterns.

Responsibilities

Collects, cleanses, analyzes, and validates data prior to storage in databases for use by the organization and clients.
Develops and maintains ETL processes and data pipelines; ensures data quality and governance.
Performs data integrity checks and participates in Agile/DevOps practices for delivery of data solutions.
Collaborates with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical data products; documents standards and policies.
