Job summary

Citi is seeking an SVP – Engineering & Delivery Lead (Data Services) to own end-to-end technical delivery, architecture alignment, and platform modernization across global data services. You will lead distributed teams, drive AI-first tooling adoption, and ensure secure and scalable data pipelines and APIs.

The role emphasizes regulatory-driven programs, architecture governance, and high-performance microservices, with direct line management responsibilities and a focus on talent development.

Qualifications

• Must-have hands-on Java and enterprise Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring)
• Proven experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB)
• Experience using generative AI tools to accelerate software delivery
• Designing secure, high-performance REST/gRPC APIs and data access patterns
• Strong CI/CD, Linux, Docker/Kubernetes and automation tooling

Responsibilities

• Lead distributed software and data engineering teams across pods with performance reviews.
• Drive AI-first software delivery and tooling adoption to speed delivery and testing.
• Ensure architectural alignment with enterprise roadmaps and security by design.
• Deliver data services, real-time pipelines, and platform integrations end-to-end.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices across multi-location teams.
