Job summary

Insight Global is seeking three Data Security Engineers to fortify data protection for a major Midwest energy provider. You will design, implement, and govern data security across cloud and on‑premise environments, applying Microsoft Purview for classification, labeling, and governance.

The role emphasizes risk assessments, encryption, DLP, and insider risk controls, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, privacy, and collaboration with cybersecurity, legal, and business teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on with Microsoft Purview.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise data security solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Leverage Microsoft Purview to support data discovery, classification, labeling, governance, compliance, and insider risk initiatives.
• Develop and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP), encryption, cloud data protection, and privacy controls.
• Conduct data security risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and third-party security reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to establish best practices for data protection and information governance.
• Monitor and respond to data security incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Track and report key cybersecurity metrics and KPIs related to data security programs.
• Review and enhance data security policies, standards, and procedures to align with evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Support compliance, privacy, and insider risk programs through policy development and technology implementation.
