Job summary

Healthfirst is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer – Data Security to design, implement, and continuously improve security capabilities that protect sensitive data across the enterprise.

This hands-on role focuses on data lifecycle protection, access controls, and ensuring robust controls across cloud, SaaS, applications, databases, endpoints, and AI environments. Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, Data, Application, and AI teams to deploy scalable protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in CS/Cyber Security or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in security engineering, incident response, threat hunting, or governance and risk/compliance.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise data protection technologies (DLP, DSPM) and data security across cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain data security controls across cloud, SaaS, apps, databases, endpoints, and AI platforms.
• Build and tune data discovery, classification, labeling, and protection for sensitive data.
• Operate DSPM to identify data exposure, misconfigurations, and access issues.
