This full-time position in the Research and Analytics Department involves acquiring data, applying statistical methodologies, building predictive models, and communicating findings to legal teams to support complex cases affecting New Yorkers. The role works across multiple legal arenas including consumer protection, criminal investigations, civil rights, and environmental preservation.

Key qualifications:

• Advanced degree in economics, computer science, mathematics, applied statistics, or engineering (or bachelor's degree with equivalent experience)
• At least 3 years of demonstrated qualitative, quantitative, or investigative research abilities
• Proficiency in programming languages (Python, R), data visualization software (Tableau, d3, etc.), and relational databases with SQL
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Interest in public policy and social/economic justice
• Git/GitHub familiarity and experience with Linux command line tools preferred
