Job summary

B4Corp is seeking a Data Scientist to work closely with the Customer’s data scientists and technical team in McLean, VA. The role requires TS/SCI with a polygraph and focuses on sophisticated NLP analysis, large-scale data processing, and publishing analytic results using customer templates.

Responsibilities include ETL design, SQL development, and data visualization, with opportunities to mentor staff and contribute to research publications.

Qualifications

• Experience performing NLP tasks, selecting Python libraries, preprocessing data, evaluating models.
• Experience using Python NLP packages (Spacy, Gensim, NLTK) to analyze document collections.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras).
• Experience with HuggingFace Transformers for NLP tasks.
• Experience building ML models for text classification and topic modeling in Python.
• Experience with encoder-decoder and generative language models for NLP tasks.
• Ability to communicate methodological choices and results clearly.
• Proficient SQL usage (CTEs, set operations, aggregates, subqueries).
• Version control experience (GitHub, Jenkins).
• Experience leveraging GPUs for accelerated computing.
• Ability to measure performance and present findings to leadership.
• Assist in methodology selection for research and provide actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large amounts of raw text data to provide business insights.
• Preprocess and clean structured and unstructured data.
• Design and implement advanced ETL code and table configurations.
• Use SQL in Oracle to organize information for analytics.
• Author analytic publications and ad-hoc reports with visualizations.
• Stay current with enterprise metadata tools and coordination processes.
• Provide technical education to staff as needed.
• Offer NLP subject matter expertise to support initiatives.
