Job summary

Mountain Cat LLC seeks a qualified data engineering professional to design and deliver IT-based data solutions. You will build production data pipelines using Spark/PySpark, Python (Pandas/NumPy), and SQL, while ensuring data security and governance across cloud deployments.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to analyse requirements, run advanced analytics, and develop scalable ETL workflows and dashboards to inform decision making and operational improvements.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required with Poly or current clearance in good standing.
• Proven track record building production data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows at scale.
• Hands-on experience with Spark and PySpark for distributed data processing.
• Advanced Python programming using Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation.
• Deep understanding of data security, privacy, governance and compliance.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Step Functions).
• Containerization experience (Docker/Podman) and cloud deployment familiarity.
• Strong SQL skills and performance tuning for analytical workloads.
• Version control (Git) and CI/CD practices for data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to determine requirements and offer IT-based recommendations.
• Advise customers on IT methods and data needed to satisfy requirements.
• Develop IT solutions to exploit databases and automate data collection.
• Create comprehensive software applications addressing analytic needs.
• Integrate, analyze, and evaluate data using statistical and machine learning models.
• Design scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows for large-scale data.
• Collaborate with colleagues to conduct modeling and data-mining analyses.
• Communicate complex analyses through strategic graphics and reports.
