Job summary

Acxiom is seeking a Data Scientist to support reconciliation, settlement, and transaction analysis across multiple products and vendor partners. The role leverages analytical methods, statistical techniques, data visualization, and BI tools to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.

You will work with clients, vendors, and internal teams to investigate discrepancies, analyze financial data, and deliver actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Statistics, Math, Finance, Accounting) or equivalent experience.
• Experience analyzing large transactional, financial, or reconciliation datasets.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze transaction, settlement, and reconciliation datasets to identify discrepancies, trends, anomalies, and risks.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to understand objectives and reporting needs.
• Perform root cause analysis to determine drivers of discrepancies and variances.
• Develop dashboards, reports, scorecards, and visualizations to communicate performance.
• Apply statistical analysis to support operational decision-making.
• Identify process inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Investigate exception trends and propose actions to reduce losses and friction.
• Support monthly/quarterly/adhoc business reviews with analytic insights.
• Translate data findings into actionable recommendations for business and tech stakeholders.
• Prepare, cleanse, validate, and transform data from multiple sources for analysis.
