Job summary

SKS Consulting Group is seeking a doctoral-level psychologist or quantitative scientist to lead assessment science and analytics initiatives. The role emphasizes psychometrics, scale development, item generation, validation, and responsible data practices.

The candidate will collaborate with internal consultants and clients, turning complex data into actionable narratives for leadership decisions and talent strategies.

Qualifications

• PhD in I/O Psychology, Psychometrics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience with classical test theory and item response theory approaches to scale validation.
• Experience applying advanced statistics to realworld business questions.
• Proficiency in R or Python.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and experience cleaning, integrating, and quality-checking large complex datasets.
• Ability to tell a clear story through data visualization.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and collaborating with stakeholders who have varied priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assessment science & research: Support the design, testing, and refinement of assessment tools. Conduct reliability, validity, and predictive analyses that strengthen how we measure leadership through cognitive and non-cognitive traits.
• Data products & automation: Help build clean, reliable datasets and workflows that power our analytics. Contribute to dashboards, automated reports, and repeatable processes that make our work scalable.
• Applied analytics: Turn assessment, behavioral, and organizational data into insights leaders can use. Produce recurring reports and support new research initiatives.
• Communication & partnership: Work closely with internal consultants, account managers, and external technology partners. Translate technical findings into clear, practical narratives for both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Quality & responsible data practices: Maintain strong documentation, protect sensitive/confidential information, and contribute to thoughtful, responsible uses of emerging analytical methods.
• Other duties as required.

Job description

SKS Consulting Group is rapidly growing and looking for a doctorallevel psychologist or quantitative scientist who embodies a sense of ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to a highly service-oriented professional services firm. The successful candidate must bring an advanced depth in Assessment science: psychometrics, scale development, item generation, validation, norming, item analysis, differential item and test functioning analysis, and building technical documentation around such.

• Subject matter expertise in personality, cognitive ability, or teams.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure SQL, SharePoint, and/or assessment-platform integrations.
• Experience developing reusable client-facing analytical products or presentation-quality applied research.
• Experience in the ethical application of AI/LLM to people analytics.
