Job summary

8 Mile Solution seeks a data scientist to join our analytics team in the USA, focusing on building predictive models and driving data-driven decisions. You’ll work on data extraction, EDA, ML models, experimentation, and producing dashboards for stakeholders.

The role requires 3–7 years of experience, strong Python/R and SQL skills, plus experience with visualization tools and cloud platforms. Location: New York, NY; must be authorized to work in the USA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Data Science, Statistics, CS, Mathematics, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• 3–7 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and R; expertise in SQL.
• Experience with ML algorithms and their practical applications.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio).
• Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to discover patterns and insights.
• Develop, implement, and validate ML models to solve business problems.
• Design and execute A/B tests and experiments to evaluate features.
• Translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Create visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
• Document data pipelines, models, and analyses.
