Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Data Scientist for the Post Purchase Experience within TikTok Shop in Seattle. You will help govern and improve post-purchase experiences for customers, sellers, and creators, leveraging data science to reduce risk and optimize Aftersales workflows.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in data science, strong SQL/Python/R skills, and expertise in measurement, modeling, or optimization. Collaborative, cross-functional work is essential to drive impact.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of working experience in data science.
• Proficient in SQL, Python or R, and data visualization tools.
• Expertise in at least one of the three areas: advanced measurement (e.g. causal inference or systems with complex trade-offs), modeling, and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Set up the metrics to measure governance and experience (GNE) operation activities, including management of risk, fraud and abuse, as well as experiences from sellers, customers and creators.
• Responsible for justifying post purchase (Aftersales) strategy in a scientific way, work closely with the business teams to figure out the goals in both short term and long term.
• Monitoring the key metric changes, and deep dive for the reason behind. Highlight the key insights to business partners with timely response.
• Proactively generate insights and data solutions for business partners to achieve the business goal; Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact.
