Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for the US Seller Business under Global E-commerce Data Strategy. You will drive growth by building metric frameworks, analytics, and models, collaborating with Product, Operations, and Engineering to turn insights into action.

You will lead data strategy, model development, and experimentation to optimize seller acquisition, activation, and retention on TikTok Shop in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in data science, analytics, or related field with data-driven impact.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce with emphasis on US seller growth, merchant operations, or marketplace dynamics.
• Advanced analytical and modeling skills with SQL and Python/R, plus statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
• Ability to lead complex projects, decompose problems, and deliver end-to-end outcomes.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience building AI-driven tools (LLMs, Agents, AI workflows) to improve analytical efficiency.
• Familiarity with e-commerce open platforms, developer ecosystems, or API integrations for merchants.
• Proven experience mentoring others and raising technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive US Seller Growth: Own the US Seller Business data strategy and translate business questions into insights.
• Advanced analytics and modeling: design data models, statistical frameworks, and experimentation including A/B tests.
• End-to-end project ownership: lead medium-to-large projects turning pain points into data solutions.
• Cross-functional collaboration: align with Product, Operations, and Engineering on data, tech, and business decisions.
