Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Data Scientist to turn satellite telemetry data into engineering decisions. You will link ground test data, manufacturing history, environmental tests, and in-orbit results to identify patterns and drive design improvements.

Qualifications

2+ years in data scientist role involving data extraction, analysis, statistical modeling and communication.
Experience with SQL, Python and large datasets (time series, telemetry, sensor, or test data).
Experience applying statistical methods to noisy, real-world data.

Responsibilities

Analyze in-orbit telemetry to measure health and performance of satellite subsystems.
Correlate in-orbit behavior with pre-launch data to predict on-ground measurements.
Build visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to engineers.
Work with software engineers to improve data pipelines and automation.
Own ambiguous investigations end to end from hypothesis to reporting results.
Present evidence and recommendations to hardware engineering teams.
Develop experiments and analytic plans for data modeling processes.
Draft clear action items from analyses for decision makers.
