Job summary

Zillow Group’s Partner Analytics team is hiring a Data Scientist to lead analytics across our product portfolio, driving insights for business decisions and customer experiences. The role is remote within the United States and involves end-to-end data science projects, model deployment, and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in data science, strong stats and ML foundations, and proficiency in Python and SQL.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in data science, applied machine learning, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, and experimentation.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; comfortable with large datasets on modern data platforms.
• Experience building performance models and data products.
• Familiarity with production workflows (Airflow, dbt, deployment, monitoring).
• Ability to work independently and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Independently scope and deliver end-to-end data science projects, from problem framing through model development, validation, and productionization.
• Build and maintain industry performance and customer segmentation models with robust, interpretable methods.
• Partner with Data Engineering and ML Engineering to deploy and monitor models in production.
• Design and analyze experiments and observational studies (A/B testing, causal inference).
• Translate ambiguous business problems into well-defined analytical approaches and success metrics.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to leaders with clear trade-offs and impact.
• Collaborate with Follow Up Boss, Preferred, and zPro to align on KPIs and insights.
• Contribute to scalable data assets and dashboards for self-service analytics.
