Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Mid-level Data Scientist to join TCJ1-RD at Scott AFB, Illinois, to enhance, develop, and sustain a data strategy, management, and analytics program for the U.S. Transportation Command.

You will transform data into actionable information for strategic human capital management and produce BI dashboards using advanced data science methods. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience (or Master’s with 3+ years), Palantir Foundry expertise, and a DoD Secret

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience, or Master’s with 3+ years, or PhD.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry.
• Experience creating dashboards/BI and data science tools.
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Transform data into actionable information to inform strategic human capital management.
• Deliver data-driven decisional products supporting military and civilian staff.
• Design and implement BI dashboards with advanced data science methods.
• Develop and maintain a robust data foundation for analysis-ready data.
• Analyze data to identify trends and relationships.
• Map and analyze data across secure and non-classified networks.
• Continuously improve tools to be faster and more accurate.
• Communicate effectively with users, SMEs and leadership.
• Provide insight during data science tool lifecycle processes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology trends.
